About Private Teaching and Ms. B :)
I appreciate your visit to this website! Your presence here tells me that you're a caring parent, and I'm eager to work with you to ensure the best for your child. I assure you that I will do everything in my power to help your child.
A little about me: my name is Berenise Perez. I studied elementary education at UCF and FIU. I'm 32 years old, and I've worked with kids for the last 17 years. This work includes Kumon, private teaching, classroom teaching, and babysitting/nannying. I've worked with ages as young as 4 and as old as 15. Teaching online, however, is newer, and I've loved every second of it.
Hiring me as your child's private teacher requires a 15-minute daily commitment, five days a week. These lessons are completed via Zoom. At the end of each week, you will receive detailed notes regarding your child's progress. However, I am happy to communicate with you as often as you need, including with your child's teacher.
I treat our first lesson like an evaluation, though I can usually tell what they need based on my conversations with you, the parent/guardian. Learning which of my teaching strategies works best with your child's personality is most important during our first lesson. I'm successful because I structure every lesson to grab your child's attention. I then continue to modify each lesson to keep that attention.
My teaching services cost $300 for four weeks of lessons, which equates to $75 per week. As a small business owner, I handle all accounting tasks and am the only employee. I request that I receive the monthly payment upfront to ensure I can dedicate ample time to preparing lessons for your child. However, I understand that life can be unpredictable, and I want to support your child's learning journey in any way possible. If you need to set up a payment plan, please don't hesitate to contact me.
You know that saying teamwork makes the dream work? When I become your private teacher, we will form a team. Teachers, parents, siblings, grandparents, neighbors, and/or everyone significant in your child's life are also part of that team, and we must all work together to help them flourish. Let me put it this way: your child is the seed, you are the soil, I am the fertilizer, school is the water, and life is the sun. It's cheesy but true!
Please call me at (954) 529-9859 for more information.
Also, if your child is an English learner, I can teach in Spanish while we focus on their target language.
